FRANCESCA RANDAZZO (Honduras, 1973)

Dawn starts
Painfully
In my throat.
Sun raises
Among
Legs
Dark and dry.
At the other side
Somebody
Searches
With a clumsy
Intuition.
Voices
Pass
By my cloth,
A hand
Shakes them.
My feet
Are not there any longer,
I try to remember
That door
They did not get through.
I try to take a step
But only my eyes
Can walk
And they find
Fear.
