Diana Araujo was born in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, in 1972. She is a poet, translator and teacher of Latin American literature. Books of published poems: BellyIn, 2006 and Other Words, 2008. She has translated into Portuguese some poems by Antonio Cisneros, Pedro Granados, Juan

In her poetics, Diana Araujo speaks of "... Extending to other bodies, other souls, and other hearts. In the desired completeness of forming human maps, harmonious geographies, renowned complicity. To be named in the naming of the other, this one that we need so much on the resounding stair of living in the air... To smile the smile of others, to cry one’s own tears: degrees of composition of a common poem. To love the other is the maximum poetry..."
